開催概要 / Outline for the Contest
写真文化首都「写真の町」東川町では、2015年より写真文化と世界の人々を繋ぎ、次代を担う高校生同士が会話を深め、友達の輪を拡大し、世界の恒久平和へ繋げる「高校生国際交流写真フェスティバル」を開催してきました。
今年度においては新型コロナウィルス感染拡大の影響や世界情勢を鑑み、次年度開催への延期を決定したことから特別企画として「HIGASHIKAWAユースフェスフォトコンテスト2022」を開催いたします。
本フォトコンテストは個人部門と団体部門の２部門を設け、各テーマに沿った作品（個人部門 １枚の単写真、団体部門 ６枚の組写真）を募集し、一次審査の末、個人部門 10名、団体部門 10チームを選抜。その後にオンライン審査にて各フェスティバル賞を決定するものです。
The Town of Higashikawa, the “Cultural Capital of Photography,” has been holding the International High School Students’ Photo Festival Exchange to connect with people of the world through photography, with the aim of deepening conversations, expanding friendships, and wishing for world peace, since 2015. This year, since we postponed the upcoming 8th International High School Students’ Photo Festival Exchange due to COVID-19 and the state of current world affairs, we have decided to hold the HIGASHIKAWA Youth Fest. Photo Contest 2022 as a special event. The contest will be divided into individual and group categories. We are looking for works based on each theme (Individual category: one photo, group category: a series of six photos), and will select 10 students from the individual category and 10 teams from the group category in the 1st selection. The award winners will be determined from within the selected students and teams by online voting.

●作品審査方法
応募作品に対し、過去に高校生国際交流写真フェスティバルに携わった審査員及びコーディネータ等により審査を行い、個人部門 10名、団体部門 10校を選抜します。
●一次審査結果発表等
2022年7月29日（金）9：00（日本時間）公式HPにて結果発表を行います。
●Selection Method:
Submitted works will be judged by the coordinators and judges who have been involved in one of the first seven editions of the International High School Students’ Photo Festival Exchange. These judges will determine the 10 students from the individual category and the 10 teams from the group category.
●1st Selection Results Announcement:
Friday July 29th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. Japan Standard Time (JST) on the contest’s official website.
一次審査を通過した個人部門 10名、団体部門 10校の作品に対し、オンライン投票を実施し、各フェスティバル賞を決定いたします。

2022年7月29日（金）9：00～8月12日（金）17：00（日本時間）
●オンライン審査結果（各フェスティバル賞）発表
2022年8月24日（水）17：00（日本時間）
※オンライン審査結果（各フェスティバル賞）は公式HPにて発表します。
※各フェスティバル賞受賞者への賞金及び副賞については準備が整い次第、送付させて頂きます。

●Announcement of Award Winners:
Wednesday August 24th, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. (JST)
*Award winners will be announced on the contest’s official website
*Prize money and extra prizes will be sent to the winners as soon as they are ready.
